Cocktail Party

Make up credits: Silvia

Dora, Me, Silvia, Raquel

Finally the last post about the trip to Madrid. Here you can see what I wore for the cocktail party celebration of the anniversary of the company. The look was not prepared at all this time it was just getting a dress and sandals and be ready, usually its not like this but there was no time! The twist this time is in the makeup made by  my dear friend Silvia, thank you! :) (If you notice my make up is always very natural or none).
Finally the weekend is here. In the summer, the working days are hard to pass  and without vacations is even worse. This weekend I want to spend time in many terraces! Do you have other suggestions?

Firenze4ever Dinner Party

Daniele Cavalli is a DJ, and a really good one

For me the most beautiful girl in the party

Who told you that "animalier" means animal print?

The venue choosen for the closing dinner of the event was the Natural History Museum La Specola. The atmosphere was very inviting and welcoming, the food was very good (especially the risotto with pine nuts) and the music was fantastic. Little surprises have been happening throughout the night, as the performance of dancers that interacted with the guests, the discovery of a hidden garden on the first floor of the museum and the variety of people I met from various nationalities and with completely different styles.
Some celebrities from the world of bloggers were seen at the party but the uproar was so great that I preferred to let the night run smoothly in the company of my blogger friends. Amy from Sage Sea blog you already know from my previous post, Haritini from the blog the SoHo Symposium I met her right in the beginning of the party and a bit later we ended up making friends with Fosco Giulianelli from The Fashionist, Chrysa from Stories and Sequins blog (yes she is the one who won Luisa’s contest to attend the Style Lab), Katie Fourtouni from Style on Book and Dimitris who unfortunately ended up not being in the picture.
It was a very interesting experience, living with the best of international bloggers, thanks to Luisa Via Roma!
If you want to know more details about the party, just write me, I would be delightful to answer your questions.

Disfrutem!

For me the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the After Party. Held in the Ballroom of the Tivoli Theatre, I can say that we need a place so bohemian, burlesque as this in Lisbon.
I leave you some pictures of the event (I confess that I have to get a new camera, mine no longer does what is told).
As for my look, I could not resist using my new purchase from Lanvin. The photos of the look are on the previous post.
Enjoy!

Vintage Party

Yesterday I went to a birthday party where the theme was "Vintage".
I love theme parties and when people become enthusiastic the party can be very amusing, funny and even unforgettable.
The first question that came into my mind was ‘what to wear in a Vintage party?’. Well, the word vintage has been upheld by the fashion world to describe garments and accessories that mark an era. It is a recovery of styles from the twenties to the nineties decade. The clothes do not necessarily have to look old, they just need to remind one or another decade. This type of clothing should be used with something modern so that it doesn’t seems like we landed on earth from some kind of time machine.

Here are some pictures that served me as inspiration for my look (I did not take the camera, unfortunately I'll have to wait for someone to send me some pictures to see my look ...) :

This Vintage Party took place on the “Lift Club”. This club has a fantastic view of the city center of Lisbon. The entrance is at Largo do Carmo, and is right next to the Santa Justa Elevator. The Santa Justa Elevator is considered a masterpiece and is one of the most interesting monuments of downtown on the historic center of Lisbon. Designed by Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard (an apprentice of Gustave Eiffel) the elevator connects Baixa and Bairro Alto and presents a romantic neo-Gothic design.
It opened in 1902 and in 1907 began work on electricity, the only vertical elevator in Lisbon to provide a public service. Made entirely of cast iron and enriched with filigree, the lifts within the tower rises 45 meters and takes 45 people in each cabin (there are two). The box office is located behind the tower, on the steps of Rua do Carmo. Passengers can go up or down the elevator in two stylish wood cabins with brass fittings.

So you read a little bit of History… It is always good to know the stories behind the places we visit and the events we witness.
And now as a good silly rainy Sunday calls, I'll relax a little on the couch in the company of a good blanket. Have a nice weekend!
