Lost in Fantasy Forest

I've always been fond of polka dots, but I confess that these are somewhat risky, at least for me because I am neither high nor thin.

But attitude makes a difference, nothing like taking a chance sometimes in pieces that we really enjoy.

I'm tired of this cold weather and I believe that you are too! The stores are full of new collections but I don't even think of wearing them, at least I can not stand this cold.

Dear Sun, you have one week to get you all warmed up and shining hard because a week from today is my birthday!

Sempre fui aficionada em bolinhas, mas confesso que estas são um pouco arriscadas, pelo menos para mim que não sou nem tão alta nem tão magra.

Mas como a atitude faz a diferença, nada como arriscar por vezes em peças que realmente gostamos.

Estou cansada deste frio e acredito que vocês também! As lojas cheias de novidades mas nem dá sequer para pensar em vesti-las, eu pelo menos não aguento este frio.

Black & White Leather

One of the key trends for this coming spring is the full look in black and white. A very easy combination but for some reason I still hadn't tried. When I saw this skirt, I did not think twice to buy it, I can wear it whatever season it is and can easily combine with several different pieces.

Another major plus: my cuddly Ugg! Since I bought them I cannot take it out of my feet, regardless the clothes that I wear because what matters is being warm and well tucked.  Black and shiny, there is nothing that doesn't match with it, don't you think?

Uma das tendências essenciais para esta próxima primavera, é o look total em preto e branco. Uma combinação muito fácil mas que até agora não tinha entrado nas minhas escolhas. Quando vi esta saia nem pensei duas vezes, posso vesti-la qualquer que seja a estação e facilmente combino com várias peças diferentes.

Outro grande ponto positivo: as minhas fofíssimas Ugg!! Desde que as comprei que não as tiro dos pés, qualquer que seja a roupa que use porque o que importa mesmo é estar quentinha e bem aconchegada. Não há nada que não combine com preto e brilhante, não acham?

Messing Up the Wardrobe

One day I looked at my wardrobe and thought, I will mix, match, combine and see what my imagination could provide. Here is the result: the boots and trousers with Aztec details, the glitter fever in the jacket, the hat, the snood scarf and the backpack to create the illusion of a relaxed backpacker looking for new routes and destinations. The only  thing missing is just to grab a suitcase and fly!

Um dia olhei para o meu roupeiro e pensei, vou misturar, combinar, contrariar e ver o que a minha imaginação poderia proporcionar. Aqui está o resultado: as botas e as calças com motivos aztecas, a febre do brilho no blusão, o chapéu, a encharpe e a mochila a criar a ilusão de uma backpacker descontraida procurando novos roteiros e destinos. Só falta mesmo pegar na mala e voar!!

The battle of life is hard and when the things we want take more than we have strength to bear,discouragement and despair take hold of us.But there are other things around us that are more important and sometimes we don’t realize or neglect... people! Speaking of people, I have a new love in my life, my niece Sarah .. a very cheeky, cute and lovingbaby that brought a little light and joy in these moments of change.

And preaching about love, tomorrow we celebrate another Valentine’s day. Even if you do not find this date important or on the contrary think that Valentine's Day should be every day, do not forget to tell the person you love the most how important he/she is for you because even if they know, it is always good to hear  how much we are loved.

A batalha da vida é dura e quando as coisas que queremos demoram mais do que aquilo que temos forças para aguentar, a desmotivação e a angústia tomam conta de nós.

Mas há outras coisas há nossa volta que são mais importantes e por vezes não damos conta ou negligenciamos… as pessoas!! Por falar em pessoas, tenho um novo amor na minha vida, a Sarah.. uma sobrinha muito bochechuda, fofa e amorosa que trouxe um pouco de luz e alegria nestes momentos de mudança.

E pregando sobre o amor, amanhã celebra-se mais um dia dos namorados. Ainda que não achem esta data importante ou pelo contrário pensem que devia ser dia de São Valentim todos os dias, não se esqueçam de dizer aos vossos mais que tudo o quão importantes eles são vocês porque por mais que eles saibam é sempre bom ouvirmos dizer o quanto somos amados.

Long View Bridge

In the last days I have been a little introspective which made me think and reflect about certain issues .. I came to a small conclusion, it is nothing new, nor too complicated but for several reasons it comes across our path, an we simply can not focus on what makes us happy. And what makes us happy? Something that gives us a reason, a purpose, something that makes us stay up late and wake up early, something that gives our lives meaning and essence. Passion is the right word, if we do not have passion for what we do, there is no inner strength that moves us to achieve our goals!

Nos últimos dias tenho andado um pouco introspectiva o que me leva a pensar e a reflectir sobre determinados assuntos.. Cheguei a uma pequena conclusão, nada que seja novo, nada que seja muito complicado mas que por diversas razões que cruzam o nosso caminho, simplesmente não conseguimos focar-nos naquilo que nos faz feliz. E o que nos faz feliz? Algo que nos dê uma razão, um propósito, algo que nos faz ficar acordados até tarde e a acordar cedo, algo que dê à nossa vida essência e significado. Paixão é a palavra certa, se não temos paixão pelo que fazemos, não há força interior que nos mova para atingirmos  os nossos objectivos!

Leo Coat & Scarlet Colour to Cheer Up

When I'm writing for my blog I do not like to think about negative things, because the blog is precisely for the contrary, forget a little of the world around me and think only on things that give me pleasure.

However I am not able to remain indifferent to a phrase that someone told me: "We have to thank God today because we have jobs, we are lucky!" I do not agree with anything I've heard and the worse is that it left me sad and frustrated to know that people live life as slaves in a society that deteriorates the human condition as each day passes by. I feel small to get around this situation but it pains me to be just a bystander... Not happy! :(

Right now I can only shut me down for a few minutes and show you my bold look, red always brings me a little joy and animosity!

Quando estou a escrever para o meu blog não gosto de pensar em coisas negativas, porque o blog serve precisamente para o contrário, esquecer-me um pouco do mundo que me rodeia e pensar apenas nas coisas que me dão prazer.

No entanto não estou a conseguir ficar indiferente a uma frase que me disseram: "Temos que dar graças a Deus hoje em dia por termos emprego, somos umas sortudas!!" Não concordo nada com o que ouvi e pior deixou-me triste e frustada por saber que as pessoas levam a vida assim, como escravas duma sociedade que deteriora as condições humanas a cada dia que passa. Sinto-me pequenina para dar a volta a esta situação mas custa-me ficar de braços cruzados... Not happy!! :(

Neste momento apenas posso desligar-me por uns minutos e mostrar-vos o meu look arrojado, o vermelho traz me sempre um pouco de alegria e animação!
