With French Woman you first see the Woman and then you see the clothes. This was said by Carine Roitfeld, she described the french style as more the way you mix the clothes, the way you move and cross your legs, those little things make a difference.

It is a combination of glamour and beauty, with a hint of irreverence and strong sex appeal, not easy to pull but you have some examples to follow. Brigitte Bardot was one of them, so was Francoise hardy and Jane Birkin, they showed the world what it means to be a perfect parisienne woman.

My Little Monster's Birthday Party

This weekend the little monster of my life turned 3 years old. I say little monster because my nephew can be the greatest terrorist in naughtiness but at the same time the sweetest child in the face of the earth.

With its sweet and naughty face, he wins all around him.

This year we decided to take him to eat Macdonalds for the first time but the result was not the expected. We think that he would be raving like most children, but he was more interested in playing and cutting the cake, this was the highlight of the day.

Este fim de semana o monstrinho da minha vida completou 3 anos. Digo monstrinho porque o meu sobrinho consegue ser o maior terrorista em malandrices mas ao mesmo tempo a criança mais doce à face da terra. 

Com a sua carinha doce e malandra ao mesmo tempo conquista todos à sua volta. 

Este ano decidimos levá-lo a comer Macdonalds pela primeira vez mas o resultado não foi o esperado. Pensamos que ia ficar delirado como a maioria das crianças mas ele estava mais interessado em brincar e em cortar o bolo, este sim o momento alto do dia.

Karl Lagerfeld’s Shu Uemura Make Up Collection

Mon Shu Girl is the animated mascot of Karl Lagerfeld's upcoming collaboration with Shu Uemura. She was conceived after Lagerfeld got a jolt of inspiration from a stack of colorful eye shadows. Or at least that's what happens in the video below: a cartoon version of the designer starts sketching the character, who comes alive once she's been colored with the Shu Uemura products Lagerfeld uses for his real-life illustrations. Mon Shu Girl then takes off on a rocket ship - presumably to spread the word about the collaboration. The products will be available in Shu Uemura's 400 locations worldwide and online in November.

A menina Mon Shu é a mascote animada da próxima colaboração de Karl Lagerfeld com Shu Uemura. Foi concebida após Lagerfeld receber um golpe de inspiração de um monte de sombras coloridas. Ou pelo menos é isso que acontece no vídeo abaixo: uma versão animada do designer começa a esboçar a personagem, que ganha vida, após ter sido colorida com os produtos Shu Uemura, produtos estes que Lagerfeld usa para suas ilustrações da vida real. A menina Mon Shu descola num foguetão - provavelmente para espalhar a palavra sobre a colaboração. Os produtos estarão disponíveis em 400 estabelecimentos da Shu Uemura em todo o mundo e on-line em Novembro.

Retro Lollipop

I called my look today Retro Lollipop, cause it reminds me of the 70's particularly the sunglasses and the hypnotic lollipop. Most of us only heard of the woodstock times, but we can still imagine those wild days of love and peace.

To contrast with this wild festival the rest of the look is clean, nude colours on the skirt and the blouse and transparency on the sandals. I always loved transparent sandals, I had a pair some years ago and for a while I searched for another one to replace them, and this pair seemed just perfect.

O meu look de hoje chama-se Retro Lollipop, porque lembra-me os anos 70, particularmente os óculos de sol e o chupa hipnótico. A maioria de nós só ouviu falar do tempo do festival de Woodstock, embora possamos ainda imaginar esses dias loucos de paz e amor.

Para contrastar com este festival selvagem o resto do visual é clean, cores nude na saia e na blusa e transparência nas sandálias. Eu sempre adorei sandálias transparentes, eu tinha um par há alguns anos e durante algum tempo estava à procura de outros para substituí-los, e este pareceu-me perfeito.
