Barbie - 50 Years of Fashion

Since 12 of August is taking place an exhibition of Barbies on the 7th floor of El Corte Inglés in Lisbon. In this exhibition we can find more than 300 limited edition Barbie dolls dressed by some of the best international fashion designers. In addition to fashion, we can also find Barbies  from the television sector, film and musical industry, accompanied by its entire trajectory since 1959.

The photos you have seen here are just a small sample of what you can find. There is also a space dedicated to children where they can make drawings and a mirror drawer to be able to make up.

To be honest I really enjoyed seeing the Barbies, but I found the place very "poor" in the sense that the light was not enough, the exhibition display did not let us see clearly the dolls, the exhibition is on a tent and I think our Barbie deserves more than that. Nonetheless do not forget to go see the dolls, the exhibition will be open until September 17th.

Está a decorrer desde o dia 12 de Agosto uma exposição de Barbies no 7º piso do El Corte Inglés de Lisboa. Nesta exposição podemos encontrar mais de 300 bonecas de edição limitada vestidas por alguns dos melhores costureiros internacionais. Para além da Moda, podemos também encontrar Barbies do sector televisivo, cinematográfico, musical acompanhado toda a sua trajectória desde 1959.

As fotos que puderam ver são mesmo uma pequenina amostra do que podem encontrar para além de existir um espaço dedicado às crianças onde podem fazer desenhos e um toucador da Barbie para se poderem maquilhar.

Para dizer a verdade gostei muito de ver as Barbies, mas achei o sítio muito "pobre" no sentido em que a luz não é suficiente, os expositores não dão para ver com clareza as bonecas, no fundo é uma tenda e eu acho que a nossa Barbie merece mais que isso. Mesmo assim não deixem de ir ver, as bonecas vao estar expostas até dia 17 Setembro.

Faz Figura

Yesterday we went to dinner at a restaurant that I had heard a while ago, but had not yet had a chance to go. The restaurante "Faz Figura" is located in Santa Apolonia has a great view over the Tejo river. The restaurant serves contemporary Portuguese cuisine, has a terrace, valet parking service, private lounge for eight people and a bar.

Faz Figura has an IPAD menu, which seems to be a great fashion to come. I advise this restaurant for special occasions, it is very nice, pleasant, quiet and great food!

Ontem fomos jantar a um restaurante que já tinha ouvido falar a algum tempo mas ainda não tinhamos tido oportunidade de ir. O Faz Figura fica situado em Sta. Apolónia e tem uma grande vista sobre o rio Tejo. O restaurante serve cozinha portuguesa contemporânea, tem esplanada, serviço valet parking, sala privada para oito pessoas e bar.

O Faz Figura dispõe do menu em IPAD, o que parece ser uma grande moda que para aí vem.

Aconselho este restaurante para ocasiões especiais, é muito bonito, agradável, tranquilo e come-se bem!

Vintage Chanel Ads

I found some old Chanel ads that I thought interesting to post.

The mythical models of the nineties as Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, Linda Evangelista,    were a constant presence in the Chanel ads.

I also found old ads where the packaging of the perfume Chanel Nº5 was quite different as  you might see.

To conclude see below one of the most beautiful Chanel Nº5 (and not only) campaigns ever in my opinion.

Encontrei uns anúncios antigos da Chanel que achei interessante publicar.

As míticas modelos dos anos noventa como a Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, Linda Evagelista, eram presença constante nos anúncios da Chanel.

Também encontrei anúncios ainda mas antigos onde a embalagem do perfume Chanel Nº5 era completamente diferente como puderam ver.
